ASUU EKSU called off strike

EKSU ASUU technically suspended the 2-month-old-strike, The resumption of academic activities are subjected to the REFERENDUM carried out.
Breakdown of the EKSU ASUU election carried out on the suspension of the strike.
Below are the Referendums taken with options :
(1) . One gross+ deduction+one net within four weeks before resumption
(2) . Resume and then payment of one gross+ one deduction+one net within one month
(3) . Payment of two gross + two deduction before resumption
(4). Continue strike.
Voting in session:
Option 1 =206 Votes.
Option 2=27 Votes.
Option 3=166 Votes
Option 4=11 Votes
NOTE: By the virtual of the votes cast above,It's clear that number one option carried highest votes therefore the strike has been suspended, just that THE LECTURERS WON'T RESUME UNTIL NUMBER ONE OPTION HAS BEEN FULLY IMPLEMENTED. We hope Mr. Governor can act speedily when the MANAGEMENT of the university get to him with this referendum because this is the option he earlier proposed to the ASUU and now ASUU has shifted ground. So in no distance time, we believe normal activities will be fully resumed in EKSU with the hope that Governor, Mr. AYODELE FAYOSE will fulfill his promise to the union.
